How these cocktail recipes are made and checked
DrinkMasterPro is a working recipe library, not a bar and not a bartending school. This page explains where the recipes come from, how the numbers are calculated and what you should not expect from them.
01 What this site is
DrinkMasterPro is a cocktail recipe library with an ingredient finder, published in English, Spanish, German and French. It is written for people making drinks at home: someone who owns four bottles and a shaker and wants a drink that tastes like the one they had in a bar, plus the home-bar enthusiast who wants the reasoning behind a ratio. Every recipe is a static page, free to read, with no sign-up and no paywall.
The library is a curated catalogue, not an infinite feed. Drinks are added when there is enough verified information to write them properly, and the list of published recipes is public: see the full recipe library.
02 How the recipes are written and checked
Ratios start from the standard builds used in professional bar practice: the recognised proportions behind a Daiquiri, a Negroni, a Manhattan or an Aperol Spritz. A drink is written from a ratio, never from a single opaque list of quantities, so the balance can be checked and scaled.
- → Cross-check. Each drink is compared against more than one independent published source. Where sources disagree, the common bar build wins and the variant is mentioned in the text.
- → Dual measures. Every ingredient is listed in millilitres and in ounces, so a jigger and a measuring cup both work.
- → Reproducibility. Steps are written for equipment a home bar actually has, with the glass, the ice and the garnish stated explicitly.
- → Corrections. Common failure modes (a flat Spritz, a broken/over-diluted shake, a sour that tastes harsh) are described next to the fix. When a reader reports an error, the recipe is corrected in place rather than left online.
Honest limitation: the recipes are checked against published sources and standard bar ratios, but they are not laboratory-tested in a commercial bar, and no professional bartender has signed off on each page.
03 Measures, alcohol strength and calories
Alcohol by volume (ABV) is calculated, not measured in a lab. It comes from the total liquid volume of the drink and the typical strength of each ingredient: the spirit or liqueur as bottled, wine and sparkling wine around 11 % vol., beer around 5 % vol., and mixers such as juice, soda or syrup at 0 % vol. Dilution from shaking or stirring over ice is either stated or excluded from the figure, and the page says which.
Calorie figures are estimates. They are derived from the alcohol content and the typical sugar content of the ingredients. They ignore how much ice melts into the glass, and they are not a substitute for a product label or medical advice. Treat every calorie number here as an approximation.
04 Photography
Photographs come from commercial stock libraries (Pexels, Unsplash and Pixabay) and are used under their commercial licences, served from the original CDN. Photographer credits are recorded in the repository.
Being straight with you: a stock photo is a mood image, not a photograph of the drink this page tells you to build. The glass, the garnish or the colour may differ from what the recipe produces. The ingredient list and the method are the part to trust.
05 Amazon affiliate disclosure
DrinkMasterPro participates in the Amazon Associates programme. Some links to bar tools, glassware and equipment are affiliate links: if you buy through one, the site may earn a small commission. The price you pay does not change.
- →
Affiliate links are marked and carry
rel="sponsored nofollow", and they open in a new tab. - → A commission never changes what a recipe says, which ingredients it uses or the technique described.
- → Recommendations are limited to equipment that suits the drink on the page. You can always source the same item elsewhere.
06 What this site is not
- — It is not professional bartending training.
- — It is not medical, nutritional or dietary advice.
- — It is not sponsored by a drinks brand. Brand names appear only as ingredients, never as paid placements.
- — It is for adults of legal drinking age. Please drink responsibly and never drink and drive.
07 Contact
Corrections, questions and rights requests are welcome. If a ratio is wrong, if an image is miscredited, or if you own rights to something published here, say so and it will be fixed.
TODO_CONTACTO — No public contact email exists in this project yet, so no address is published here on purpose. Inventing a mailbox that nobody reads is worse than having none. Until a real one is provided, use this page as the record of what is still missing.
