The French 75: Artillery in a Glass
Named after the French 75mm field gun used in WWI for its legendary kick, this cocktail was popularized at Harry’s New York Bar in Paris in the 1920s.
Gin or Cognac?
The original used Cognac — Gin became popular in the American version. New Orleans’ Arnaud’s French 75 Bar has championed the Cognac version since 1918.
