Bramble
A modern British classic by Dick Bradsell. Gin, lemon, and crème de mûre cascading over crushed ice like a sunset in a glass.
01 Ingredients
02 Method
Fill a rocks glass with crushed ice.
Shake gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup with ice.
Strain over the crushed ice.
Drizzle crème de mûre over the top — it will cascade down through the ice.
Garnish with fresh blackberries and a lemon slice.
The Bramble: Dick Bradsell’s Masterpiece
Created in 1984 at Fred’s Club in London by the same bartender who invented the Espresso Martini, the Bramble put British cocktail culture on the global map.
The Cascade Effect
The visual appeal — crème de mûre slowly bleeding through the crushed ice — is intentional. Don’t stir it in.
